The reigning champion has confirmed he will make his first title defense at the Zoomax Combat Championship December edition — and he is ready.
Emeka Okeke will defend his Zoomax Welterweight title at the third edition of the Zoomax Combat Championship, scheduled for December 2026 in Lagos. The Port Harcourt fighter, who claimed the belt with a spectacular 4th-round KO of Chidi Nzinga in November 2025, has been in camp since January and says he is in the best shape of his career.
'I've been working on my defence,' Okeke told Zoomax Media. 'Everyone saw what I can do offensively. Now I want to show a complete fighter. A champion who can win in any style.'
His opponent has not yet been confirmed, with the organisation considering three contenders — all of whom bring distinct styles and a genuine threat to Okeke's title. An announcement is expected by the end of June.
'Bring anyone,' Okeke says with a grin. 'I'll be ready.'
