The Lagos-born point guard averaged 16 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds per game — and his leadership was just as valuable as his numbers.
For the second year running, Babatunde Adeleke of Zoomax Ballers Lagos has been named the Zoomax Basketball Division's Most Valuable Player — a recognition that reflects both his individual brilliance and his irreplaceable role in his team's success.
Adeleke averaged 16 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds per game across the completed 3x3 Cup season, numbers that place him among the elite in domestic basketball. But those who know the game know that his real value is harder to quantify.
'Tunde sees the game three plays ahead,' said Zoomax Ballers head coach Dare Olawale. 'His court IQ, his ability to slow the game down in pressure moments — that's not something you coach. You just nurture it.'
Adeleke, characteristically understated, was brief in his acceptance remarks. 'I want to thank my teammates. Nothing I do means anything without them running the plays.' He paused. 'And to the young ballers watching — put in the reps. Every day. The numbers will come.'
